Dragons' Den First Semester Week 11: Sports & Grades

Yes and No.
Some students don't have time for grades because they get really tired after practice and their body just shuts down.
But also you do want to set a requirement for the students to meet so that they have their school work and their homework done.
So it's a yes and no answer. But you also have to look at the student and sometimes the student is having issues outside of school that may be causing the problems that the student can't get his work done.

Dragons' Den First Semester Week 0: Video Games, Texting, or Sleeping

Prompt B: Why do you engage in lengthy texting conversations?  Think about how it makes you feel.


Some kids text on the phone alot maybe because they don't have minutes so they text the ones that they love or their friend.
Sometimes they forget their homework and want to get it so they text their friends.
Now why they dont do their homework and text their friends is a different reason.
They become lazy and their friends text them so they just stay in one spot and text until they have nothing more to say. Or they text people to kill their boredom or so that they don't think about their homework.

Dragons' Den First Semester Week 10: Homecoming

Homecoming week was really boring and yeah. I did not do anything last week.
Homecoming dance was really stupid and disappointing.
I'm not gonna go into details but it was so bad I left after a hour of doing nothing.
So to sum it all up i'm not going to anymore dances.
But homecoming game was really fun. We blew them out 59 to 0.

The game was way too easy.

Dragons' Den First Semester Week 8: Friends or Adults?

In my life, my friends, real friends, are more important because I only got a few and they can help me when I need help. One reason is that I make friends with people who are like me and if I become their friends then i'm gonna have a good relationship with them and that I know that I can trust them and that they can trust me. Additionally I know if I ever need anything i can ask them for it. One last reason is that my friends are like family to me and I care about my friends alot. -I let these people know I appreciate them by showing up when they need me and always being there for them.

Dragons Den 7: Would You Rather?

I would you rather get caught singing in the mirror because I already been caught singing in my room dramatically. So getting caught singing in the mirror is nothing because I would keep singing.
 Additionally I wouldn't really care because the females would love it anyways so that's brownie points for me .One last reason is that I love to hear my voice knowing it sounds good. In the future, I hope for nothing different.

Dragons Den: Campus Donations

I think the donations are a good thing because they keep the students heads up, letting us know that there is still hope.
The donations are also from people who care about us and sometimes the people we care about too, so it's a good relationship either way.
It also makes us more grateful and forgiving.

"Two Kinds" Jing-Mei's Shoes Paragraph

I don't even like the piano so I wouldn't do it in the first place, and if I did then there would be a problem.
I would do it at the beginning for fun. Give it about a couple of weeks to absorb info and a couple of lessons.
After that I would probably get bored and quit. If I was force to stay I would for like another day or two and then tell them I'm  not doing it no more no matter what they say. And that would be the end of it.

"Two Kinds" Before You Read: Something You Don't Want to Do

So I decided to leave the football team because of problems i was having on and off the field.
Everyone who didn't apperciate me on the team told me yesterday to just leave because I already had something planned and the last minute change up killed it.
So people yelled at me and I just decided that they could do fine without me.
I had my reasons and I don't want to be in a sport where my heart isn't in it.
People want to yell at me and not yell at everyone else who quit, but it's whatever.
I had my reason and I did what I thought was the right choice.
I kinda felt bad because I left during the middle of the season and I feel like I should've stayed commited but it's hard to be commited to a sport you don't like expecially when no one thinks you matter to the team.
But I still have to say no and just get caught up on my work and get other things taken care of.

"Everyday Use" Before You Read: Tradition

Fifteen years from now, I will still celebrate Chrismas with my children or grand children.
This tradition involves giving presents and taking the day off to be around caring friends and caring families.One of my happy memories of this tradition is getting more than one present and something that I actually wanted, and even if I was in trouble, I still got to open my presents and keep them, at least when I got to San Pasqual Academy. I will share this with children by  having them write down what they want and trying my best to get them the presents. By sharing this tradition with future generations, I hope that they will learn to share with their future friends and families.

Dragons Den: Power Outage

When the power went out I was in my house with my house parent and my house social worker.
I was watching t.v. and the power just turned off. I sat there for two minutes waiting for it to turn back on. But it didn't so I sat there. I couldn't go outside because I didn't go to school that day so I had to stay inside. It was hot as heck to. Then they had to cook dinner in the Cafe' because that was  the only place that had power. So we had to wait 4 hours for them to be done. Then the office said that we can all hang out in the Cafe and we just had fun up there. Then everyone went home and the power came back on around 1 or 2 o'clock in the morning.

“The Pedestrian” Before You Read: Life in 2053

I expect life will be like in America in 2053 high tech.
Where you can transport yourself to the future.
Where everyone will have a flying car and there will be driveways for them.
Where drugs doesn't ruin peoples' lives and crime wasn't what people thought of.
Where illness does not exist at all and no one dies from dieases, cause there will be none.

Dragons Den: Shoes

My favorite brand of shoes are Nikes,Vlados, and Vans.
Nikes are good for basketball and running.
Vlados are good for jerkin and for fashion.
Vans are good for fashion, and skateboarding.
In case you have never seen them, these shoes are in style.
They come in all colors and sizes which is great for anybody.
I do not wear these shoes on a regular basis because I only wear them when I go to ouside places like the mall or other nice places.
If I saw one of my peers wearing these shoes, I would asked them wear they got them from.

Response to Priester's Syllabus

How do I feel about English 10?
Honestly I hate it.
I shouldn't even be in it.
Because..i mean just because I failed doesn't mean I should retake the class.
Keith failed and I don't see him retaking it!
I don't understand.
I really don't.
It's really stupid..no offense.
I turned it around and got an A and retook it in summer school.
But it's okay.
I'll just pass it again.

Dragons Den: Colors

A color that represents me is red, white, green, and black.
Red represents my emotion when i'm super heated because I became reckless and not care about anything at all.
White represents when i'm peaceful and caring. Like super caring and careful.
Green represents my favorite color and is when i'm happy and excited.
Black represents when i'm super mad and I don't feel like talking to anyone..and i'm too mad to care.

First Day of School 2011

When I woke up on the first day of my Junior year of school at San Pasqual Academy I was tired.
I got out of bed, wiped my eyes, and fell back asleep.
Then my staff came in and woke me up so I had to get up.
Then I got dressed, brushed me teeth, and cleaned myself up.
Then I got out of the house to go to school.
The first class I had was Ms. Ramierez, and I heard first period was kinda hard so I wasn't really excited.
But then I found out that the class is easy as long as you stay on track with your work.
Then I had Ms. Priester...again.
Then I had Mr.Bello, and in that class all we had time to do is the introduction.
Then I had
P.E., and that class is the only class I think i'm gonna pass this year.
Then I had 2nd lunch, I was happy to hear that.
Then I had Mr. Fenich, and we just went over the rules.

Then for the last period of the day I had Ms.Davis

Summer School Plan

This summer I hope to pass summer school with an A or B, and to get all my homework turned in on time just like last semester.
Outside of school I'm going to work out more and run more so I can be fit for school when school start.
I always want to make a bigger connection with my roommate and with some of my house mates and my old friend Alex.
I need to sleep more so I don't wake up late for school or be tired and come to class unprepared.
I'm going to do my best this summer.

Portfolio - Improvement

Over the past two years, I have finally decided to pick up my grades.
At first, I never used to care about school because I would at least get a couple of c's and f's. Then I started to get all f's, so I decided to change it around. Started doing my homework and classwork, and ended up getting all A's and B's, something I never thought was possible for me.I made such a huge change. Only because the school told me if I fail anymore classes, I would get held behind. Then my house parents took my music, so that was another motivator. But all I gotta do is do my work, and i'll be good.

Portfolio - Future

I already know that I am going to make it "Big" in life.
My school is going to be complete at the end of college.
I'm going to college for 2 years for my profession in music.
My career plan is to be a famous rapper,
which I have good writing skills and talent. I'm inspired by alot of people like Wiz Khalifa, Young Sam, and Yg.
So with people to look up to, it's not going to be hard for me to make it big.
I know I can make it, so i'm gonna do it.

End of Year Reflection – Greatest High School Achievement

My Greatest High School Achievement would be easy.
Somehow I managed to get a 3.4 without trying.
When they first told me, I honestly didn't beleive them.
I mean I have always been below a 2.o.
But now that I only do class work and homework, it's so easy.
I was proud but now it seems like I should do better.
So next year, i'm gonna try to get a 4.0.
That shouldn't be too hard.
Hopefully I get alot of rewards at the end of the year.
