"Two Kinds" Mother & Daughter Conflict

In the conflict between Jing-mei and her mother, Jing-mei/her mother is that her mother wants her to be something that she is not.
For example, she…doesnt want to be a prodigy, but her mom does because in China you really couldnt do anything but here in America, you can become anything you want.
This shows that her mother wants her daughter to be someone important.
This also shows that the mother does not care about how Jing-mei feels.
In addition, she would do anything to get what she wants.
Jing-mei/her mother’s actions so no care for how the other person feels.
